Plaintiff lawyers and trial teams handling (or ready to start handling) mild TBI / concussion, post-concussive syndrome, and moderate-to-severe TBI cases—especially where the defense argues “normal imaging,” “pre-existing issues,” or “it’s just anxiety/aging.”

Format

A fast-moving workshop: short teaching blocks, case walkthroughs, live issue-spotting, deposition/trial scripting, and “what I would do Monday morning” checklists.

By the end of this master class, attendees will be able to:

1. Run a TBI intake that protects the case (red flags, timelines, records, witnesses, baseline function).

2. Build clear medical causation tying brain injury to an auto collision using physiology + evidence.

3. Understand TBI diagnosis in the real world (why CT/MRI can be “normal” and still be a real injury).

4. Select and sequence the right experts (neurology, PM&R, neuroradiology, neuropsych, life care, economics).

5. Draft and execute a discovery plan that wins the “invisible injury” battle.

6. Take and defend depositions that convert symptoms into admissible proof of functional loss.

7. Prepare the case for trial with themes, demonstratives, and jury-proof language.

8. Anticipate and defeat common defenses: malingering, ADHD/depression, prior concussions, degeneration, secondary gain.
