Psych Experts in Employment Cases
This small group workshop will offer insights, strategies and case-specific examples of how to approach psychological or psychiatric expert testimony in employment cases. DeRubertis will illustrate through real case examples the competing psych testimony on each side of the case. This workshop will include (inter alia):
- Why in most employment cases, psych experts should be used by the plaintiff.
- Best practices for defense mental examinations including the critical components of the stipulation or order permitting the examination.
- Understanding psychological testing including specific issues within the MMPI.
- Deposing defense psych experts.
- Directing your own psych expert.
- Cross-examination of the defense psych expert.
