Eve and Adam: Finding the Serpents and the Fruit of the Poisonous Tree in the Legal Profession

Gender bias in the legal profession is something that most people are too afraid to talk about within the legal community. By refusing to discuss the issues facing both genders, the legal community lives in a comatose state of ignoring the past and being afraid of the future. Justice Tricia Bigelow and the panel will dispel these fears by recognizing the past issues presented by a predominantly male-led legal community while also outlining the various strengths that each gender provides to successfully litigate cases. They will share a unique perspective on how gender can impact the perceptions created for both judges and jurors and how we, as litigators, can harness our unique skills to better advocate for our clients.
