I grew up in a small town, Camp Verde, Arizona, the youngest of 12 kids. I was not a good student, but after high school I spent two years away from home as a Mormon missionary in Peru. The shock of living in a developing country made me appreciate the opportunities at home. A few days after my mission I scraped together my savings and started college at BYU-Idaho. Within a few weeks I discovered that the student body president received a tuition waiver. I ran mainly for that scholarship and somehow won. This was a great experience where I learned a lot and created many great friendships, including the girl that is now my wife and the mother of our four children. I sped through undergrad and received an economics degree before going to law school at BYU. After graduating from law school I avoided law, dabbling briefly with banking, followed by military intelligence work for the Army and the Department of Defense. I transitioned to practice law in Las Vegas in 2013 at 31. Within a few years of practice I discovered trial work and I've never looked back. Outside of work I enjoy hanging out with my family, playing and watching sports, and playing strategy games. I also enjoy learning new things in almost any area.
