I grew up in Northeast Ohio, right outside of Youngstown, Ohio. I am the second oldest of six children and I was home educated until my senior year of high school, where I played soccer and ran track. My father was a contractor, specializing in new home construction and I worked on his construction crew throughout college during summer and winter breaks. I obtained my bachelor's degree in Business Marketing from Kent State University in 2003 and my law degree from the University of Akron in 2007. After law school, I practiced business litigation in Ohio for 4 years, before moving to Southern California and taking a two year break from practicing law. After two years away from law, I began practicing plaintiff-side employment law and have done so ever since, representing employees in claims for discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wrongful termination, etc. I have two sons, ages 10 and 11, and in my "spare time" I coach their soccer and basketball teams. I also enjoy camping, hiking, traveling, and snowboarding.
