I started my career as a prosecutor, where I gained significant trial experience. I tried over 50 jury trials in my first year as a prosecutor, which is about 1 trial per week. I then represented Fortune 500 companies in personal injury lawsuits, where I gained significant civil litigation experience, including depositions and motion practice. After representing Fortune 500 companies for over 5 years, I started my career in personal injury in 2017.

I will never forget my first jury trial as a personal injury attorney. The defense offered $8,500 to settle. My client had $17,500 in medical bills. My client had a 3-year gap in medical treatment. Other personal injury attorneys advised me to ask for $30,000 to $50,000. I asked for $403,500. The jury returned $203,450. The client had a partial tear of the triangular fibrocartilage complex of her wrist. When my client picked up her check, she cried and hugged me. I’ve been addicted to that feeling ever since.

I have tried more than 100 jury trials. In the past two or so years, I’ve tried 13 cases. I have secured multiple 7 and 8 figure verdicts for my clients. And I have secured many 6-figure verdicts when the highest offer was 4 or 5 figures. Some of those verdicts are record-breaking verdicts in Georgia and in the United States. But I have come to believe that those victories are meaningless because I’m only as good as my next trial. My current and future clients could not care less what my track record is if I fail to secure similar results for them. Because of this, I spend an extraordinary time preparing for trial.
